With a 10km swim, a 420km bike ride and then and 84km, double-marathon run over three days, Richard Thompson smashed the world record in 2017. As if that’s not enough, Richard runs his own business and is married with three young children.

On successfully completing his world record beating event, Richard decided that it was time to call it quits. He was going to give up Ultraman and focus on other aspects of his life. However, the itch was still there, and today Richard is announcing that he is coming out of retirement and plans to beat his own world record in 2022, and Kanguru is along for all the rides, the swims and the runs.
